FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL PHYSIOTHERAPIST

MEET MATTHEW

I'm Matthew, Founder and Principal Physiotherapist at PerformanceX — here to help you move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing what you love.

I'm passionate about helping people overcome pain, restore mobility, and achieve their health and performance goals. My approach goes beyond simply treating symptoms — I take the time to understand each person's unique needs and create tailored treatment plans that support recovery and promote long-term health and injury prevention.

Throughout my career I've worked across a broad range of musculoskeletal settings, treating everything from everyday aches and pains to complex rehabilitation cases. I have extensive experience managing sporting injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and joint replacements, and have worked with everyone from elite athletes to recreational gym-goers.

I have a particular passion for ACL reconstruction rehabilitation. By working closely with orthopaedic surgeons and staying up to date with the latest evidence-based rehabilitation protocols, I help patients safely regain strength, confidence, and performance as they return to the sports and activities they love.

Outside the clinic, I believe in practising what I preach. I stay active through basketball, badminton, volleyball, Oztag, and strength training — giving me a firsthand understanding of the physical demands that sport and exercise place on the body.

Whether your goal is to recover from an injury, return to sport, improve your performance, or simply move pain-free again, I'm committed to helping you every step of the way.

ALONGSIDE THE SURGEONS

WORKING WITH ORTHOPAEDIC TEAMS

Time in theatre and close collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons keeps my rehabilitation grounded in exactly what your body has been through — so your recovery plan matches your surgery.
